Rev Edward L. Whitehead, Pastor
Rev. Edward L. Whitehead is a pastor, scholar, writer, musician, and
singer. As a product of Chicago's west-side, Rev. Edward L. Whitehead
attended Chicago Public Schools and later, received higher education
from Chicago Baptist Institute and the Theological and College Seminary
of Baltimore, Maryland where he received an Honorary Bachelors in
Theology. Not only does he currently pastor The New Greater Exodus M.
B. Church, but he also is affiliated with the Sunlight Baptist District
Association, and the National Baptist Convention USA, Incorporated.
During the 1970's, he became the leading musician for the renowned Love
Singers that originated in Chicago, Illinois. In addition, he also played
for and sang with the Gospel Heavyweights - an assembly of God-fearing,
gospel preaching pastors. He is a loving husband, devoted father, and an
excellent pastor. He has been preaching God's Anointed Word for over 32
years and counting.
In November 2002, God gave Rev. Whitehead a message entitled "Snakes
Among My Sticks" coming from Acts 28: 1-6. Those who were under the
sound of this profound gospel were reminded that Christians are always
under the subtle attacks of the adversary, but that an omnipotent God
empowers them with the ability to shake them off!
